Absolutely beautiful. The only negative is that they open only once a month so lots of cramming of people during the summer. People being disrespectful of the rules set in place, swimming and lots of off leash dogs.
One of the best waterfall sites of Georgia. There are two waterfalls, a small and a very large and grand waterfall to see here. The decent and climb to the bottom of the larger fall is a little tough with so many steps but the pay makes it worth it. This area is private property but open to the public twice a month. If you call ahead and volunteer, you can arrange for group camping on top of a ridge near the waterfalls where you will have a great view and can even see Chattanooga.
If you get the chance to go, do it! Beautiful nature trails, waterfalls, bridges, trees, views, wildflowers. Check website for open gate days and go!
The reason for the one star is how horrible you will be treated if you show up anytime after 3, they will not let you in, the volunteer was very rude and told us we should’ve came earlier cause they have kids to go home to mind you it’s 2hrs before they close the location, can be very unconvenient for people that live an hour away
Absolutely beautiful location with spectacular scenery. Saw a bald eagle flying above the gorge!
